Services moved online February 14, 2021

February 13, 2021, 10:38 AM

Dear Church,

As many of you know, the weather report for Sunday (February 14, 2021) has a high of 3 degrees and a low of -4 degrees along with snow. Due to such extreme conditions, the trustees, deacons, and I (Dave) believe that it is in the best interest of the church of the safety of our church family to suspend meeting at church this Sunday both for the AM and PM service. We will move the service online, and I will be delivering my sermon at 11:15 am on Facebook live. I will be preaching from one of the Sunday School classrooms as I did during the COVID-19 shut-down.

It is always hard to make the call to suspend services on the Lord’s Day. Know that this is a prayerful decision on the part of the trustees, deacons, and pastor. I sincerely appeal to you to honor the Lord’s Day even when we cannot meet corporately. I encourage Sunday School teachers to call individuals in their classes and deacons to reach out to those in their deacon families. Finally, I encourage everyone to join with their families around your device or in your front room, view the sermon together, pray together, and discuss the sermon. If you have any questions for me, feel free to call me on my cell at 785-341-9260. I am praying for you and about our service.

Soli Dei Gloria,

David Guy Van Bebber Jr.
