Abolish Abortion Rally Wednesday, March 10

March 9, 2021, 10:30 AM

Dear church,

First, I want to thank each of you for praying about the SB 391 to abolish abortion. Please be faithful to pray tomorrow as the hearing will be at noon.

For those of you planning to attend both the hearing and the rally at 2:00 PM, I have a few guidelines that I was given and some other significant pieces of information.

First, I have to adjust the leave time from 9:30 AM to 9:00 AM. Because parking is so difficult to get in the capital, it will be imperative that we leave as early as we can.

I'm not sure exactly where we will end up parking. Still, I will have a better idea tomorrow morning. Those of you following me in the carpool will have no problem finding the location for parking with me.

Next, I was informed yesterday by Senator Mike Moon that we will have to wear a mask in the State Capital.

I know this is not something that any of us like to do, nor do many believe this is an effective means for stopping the spread of the COVID-19 virus. But we will have to make this concession to get into the State Capital.

So, the plan is to leave the church parking lot at 9:00 AM tomorrow. I know Valerie is taking a car, and I'm taking a separate one. I know that others have planned on carpooling. Please contact me if you are wanting to come and need a ride.

This is an important event. If you are coming to the hearing with me, you will get an opportunity to testify in the hearing if you would like to. I am planning to do so, and I encourage you to have some comments prepared as well. The more individuals who can testify, the better it is.

There is also a link here:  to a written form where you can submit a written letter to testify for the passage of the bill. I encourage each of you to fill out a written testimony.

The rally will begin at 2:00 PM and last till about 3:30 PM. I will have a brief role in the program. It should be very encouraging as some local pastor friends of mine will be speaking and some other abolitionist.

This is an important event. Even if you are unable to make it, do not hesitate to pray about this. Pray for the end of abortion. This could be a very historic piece of legislation, and we want to do all we can to petition the Lord to move in the hearts of many pro-life advocates. You notice that I said, pro-life advocates. A similar bill to this was introduced in Oklahoma a few months ago. It was the pro-life movement that actually stopped the bill from being passed into law. If pro-life advocates vote for this bill, then it will surely pass.

Be praying for all those traveling to Jeff City too. Pray for their safety. And pray for clarity of thought among all those who testify tomorrow.

Church, this is an important issue. I cannot stress that enough. God can move in a tremendous way and allow our state to proclaim God's dominion over the earth boldly.

I'm looking forward to seeing many of you tomorrow either to carpool to the rally or join us for our midweek prayer service.
