Questions for discussion and family worship. Below you will find a set of questions that you can use to discuss among your family or small group. Use them in conjunction with the sermon. Be sure to think on these questions be able to respond.

  1. How does John the Baptist serve as an example for each and every one of you?
  2. What can you do to better be a Herald of the Kingdom of Christ?
  3. In this difficult time, what can you do to more humbly serve the Kingdom of Christ in a way that will make a difference?
  4. One of the central elements of this sermon is following Jesus. What have been some major barriers in your life recently regarding following Christ and how can you deal with them?
  5. Jesus Christ has taken away the sins of the world. This is good news. What have you done in the last week to live out the reality that Christ has taken away your sins? How does this serve as an example of the greatness of Christ?
  6. The Jews were looking for something. Why did they not see what was right in front of their face? Is there someone in your life that you know is looking for something but they do not see the obvious answer which is Jesus Christ? What can you do to better explain the gospel to them and point them to “ the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world?”
